How the export works

What is a plot plan?

A scaled drawing of a lot showing its boundaries, dimensions, buildings, setbacks and access. A site plan adds utilities, grading and landscaping.

Can I draw my own plot plan?

Yes for many minor permits (sheds, fences, decks). For new construction most jurisdictions require one from a surveyor or architect.

What scale should a plot plan be?

Commonly 1:100 to 1:500 (1" = 10' to 1" = 40'). The PDF picks a round scale that fits the page and prints it.

How do I get my property lines?

From the deed, the plat or the survey. Your county recorder or assessor usually publishes the plat online; enter those lengths in the planner or trace the outline over the satellite map.

Is the plot plan free?

Yes: drawing and exporting PNG/PDF do not require an account or an email.

Does it include elevations?

Average slope and downhill direction from public elevation data; not surveyed contours.
