How the export works
the PDF prints the canvas at a fixed scale (1:N chosen to fit A4 landscape), with the scale ratio, scale bar, north arrow, area, perimeter, coverage, slope and orientation
A 40 × 30 m lot fits A4 landscape at 1:250; every side shows its length and the house its dimensions.
- Accuracy is that of your drawing or of the cadastral geometry; it is not a survey.
- Some building departments accept owner-drawn plot plans for sheds and fences; for new houses most require a surveyor or the architect’s site plan.
What people use it for
Shed, fence or pool permit
Many counties accept a dimensioned owner-drawn plot plan for accessory structures.
Talking to an architect
Arrive with the lot, the setbacks and where you want the house.
Selling land
A clear plan with dimensions and what fits sells a plot faster than a satellite photo.
Frequently asked questions
What is a plot plan?
A scaled drawing of a lot showing its boundaries, dimensions, buildings, setbacks and access. A site plan adds utilities, grading and landscaping.
Can I draw my own plot plan?
Yes for many minor permits (sheds, fences, decks). For new construction most jurisdictions require one from a surveyor or architect.
What scale should a plot plan be?
Commonly 1:100 to 1:500 (1" = 10' to 1" = 40'). The PDF picks a round scale that fits the page and prints it.
How do I get my property lines?
From the deed, the plat or the survey. In Spain the Cadastre provides the official polygon, which the planner loads by reference.
Is the plot plan free?
Yes: drawing and exporting PNG/PDF do not require an account or an email.
Does it include elevations?
Average slope and downhill direction from public elevation data; not surveyed contours.
