Land Planner: draw your plot and see what fits
Draw the boundary, read area and perimeter as you go, check slope and sun, place real-size buildings and export the plan. Free, no account needed.
What the planner does
It turns a piece of land into a plan you can reason about: the exact area and perimeter of the polygon you draw or load, the gradient by zone from public elevation data when you give a location, the sun path for any date and hour, and a live read of coverage and distances to the boundary as you place objects.
Who it is for
People deciding whether a plot serves their project before paying an architect or a surveyor: building a house, splitting a lot, setting up cabins, a campground, a homestead or a workshop. It is also a quick way to produce a dimensioned sketch for a conversation with a professional.
What it calculates
Area (m², ft², acres, hectares), perimeter and side lengths, coverage ratio, average and maximum slope, orientation of the longest side and of the house, sunrise and sunset for the date, shadow direction at a given hour, and setback lines at the distance you set.
Limits
Elevation comes from 30 m models: good for the shape of the ground, not for a survey. Boundaries drawn from satellite or declared area are approximate; the Spanish Cadastre provides official geometry, other countries do not yet. Nothing here is a permit assessment.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. You can draw, calculate and export an image without one. An account is asked only when you save a project to come back to it.
How accurate is the slope?
As accurate as public elevation data: the gradient is averaged over 30 m cells. Terraces and walls are not visible. Enter the slope by hand if you know it.
Can I load my real parcel?
In Spain, yes: type the cadastral reference and the official polygon loads with its area. Elsewhere, draw it over the map or enter the sides.
What can I export?
A dimensioned plan as PNG, and a PDF with the summary (area, perimeter, coverage, slope, orientation). No email required.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Draw with your finger with snapping and a precision loupe, or type each side length.
Is the 3D view accurate?
It extrudes the volumes you place and casts their shadows for the date and hour. Terrain relief in 3D is on the roadmap.
